This is a 18 and over event with standing room only 17 and under admitted with a parent or guardian The Midwest’s longest running Shoegaze and Dreampop fest, KALAMASHOEGAZER, is back and better than ever this year at the iconic Bell’s Eccentric Cafe with 7 amazing bands: Citrus Clouds from Phoenix, AZ, Bodywash from Montreal, Canada, Dottie from Austin TX, Brief Candles from Milwaukee, WI, Cool Heat from Chicago, IL, Tambourina from Kalamazoo, MI. And we’re pleased to announce, performing for the first time ever in the US; Pia Fraus, from Estonia, is headlining the event. As with years past, there will be various giveaways and prizes, and once again a unique guitar effects pedal will be raffled off, courtesy of Mojo Hand FX by the end of the night. Shoegazers from across the US travel to our humble city of Kalamazoo, MI each year to join us for this event, making it truly a sort of homecoming for “The Scene That Celebrates Itself.

Cole Chaney w/ Tony Logue and the 184
This is a 18+ event with standing room only 17 and under admitted with a parent or guardian Originally from Boyd County, KY, Chaney has since relocated to Lexington and is sure to be the next big thing coming out of Kentucky. At only 21 years old, Chaney’s catalog may be small, but he already boasts an absolute masterpiece of an album in which he proves wise beyond his years. Mercy, his debut album released in 2021, is a 12-song showcase of Eastern Kentucky, blue collar anthems highlighted by Chaney’s deft lyricism and storytelling. An unknown musician prior to the album’s release, Chaney has since experienced a meteoric rise in popularity and has quickly amassed a growing and dedicated fan base, already thirsty for new music. -Whiskey Riff
